Little World Wanderers is One!

Happy Birthday, Little World Wanderers!

One year ago today I released our first unit on Norway with no expectations and very little idea about what this year would hold for us.

Though the last year our family has made a commitment to learn about the world around us. We’ve spent time in the Philippines, India, Nepal, Germany, and so many others.

We’ve celebrated Dia de los Muertos, St. Nicholas Day, Children’s Day and are getting ready to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

We’ve read hundreds of diverse children’s books and talked about different cultures. We’ve made connections through food, music, and art.

The best part about all this is doing it with you. For the last year I wrote units for friends and families that also wanted to learn about the world. Our first unit on Norway had 12 website clicks the entire month of January. I would have never anticipated almost the entire world would suddenly be homeschooling. In a time where everyone was home, we could still travel through these units.

You’ve encouraged us, helped us grow, and given us so much to do and reflect on. You’ve been with us through growing pains and helped us navigate what is is to run this website.

Year two is going to be such an adventure. I can’t wait to wander the world with so many of you. Thank you for wandering with us!
