Periodic Table of the Elements Notebook
The Periodic Table of the Elements is a fascinating unit study to bring to your homeschool.
This notebook study combines elements of a Charlotte Mason education by reading the book The Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe by Theodore Gray
For each element, read the required page in the book Elements. Have your child write how the element is represented on the periodic table page and write a short narration or summary (noted above). After, have your child fill out the element information sheet. (seen here)
The element information sheet provides writing spaces for extra facts that your child may learn in their readings, flash cards, or through research. There is also space to draw the atomic structure of each element.
This study can be completed in a year by doing 3-4 elements a week.
This unit study pairs well with the Jack and Link Chemistry Dry Erase Board.
This notebook is a digital download and contains 242 pages.
